Dr. Tracey Lynette Durant is an Independent Education and Nonprofit Consultant, currently working as the Director of Equity for Baltimore City Public Schools. Evaluating and implementing equity initiatives designed to close the achievement gap and improve academic rigor is priority #1 for Dr. Durant. She holds degrees from Sojourner-Douglass College, Coppin State University and Morgan State University. During our interview we discuss the impact growing up in Baltimore had on Tracey, the invaluable lessons she learned along her academic journey, and the importance of showing up as your authentic self when addressing matters of equity.
