I’ve never done a film review for Cook on Monday Morning and I’m not inclined to start now. I will say I saw this movie last night with my partner. After watching it, I felt compelled to hold off on the article I planned to release to write something brief about the film. 

I thought it was brilliant. Somehow, the filmmakers managed to turn a tragic circumstance into an inspirational love story. But not I’m referring to a romantic love between Queen and Slim. I mean a love for liberty, family and the black community.
